Information you enter
Every calculation on KoreaSum runs in your web browser. Salaries, dates, names and other values you type are not sent to our server. Some tools remember your last entry in your browser’s local storage so it is there next time; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting and network providers may automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type and time of visit for security and operation.
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
To learn which tools are useful and improve them, KoreaSum uses Google Analytics, a web statistics service from Google LLC.
- What it collects: pages viewed and time spent, how you arrived (search, link), device and browser type, approximate region, and whether a calculator was used or a name image was saved. The salaries, dates, names and other values you type are not sent to Google Analytics, and we remove the part of web addresses after “?” before anything is sent.
- How: through Google Analytics cookies and the Google tag on our pages. We only see aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
- How Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- To opt out, block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. All tools keep working.
